Stardust Princess

STARDUST PRINCESS

Every night we see them in the sky, there are millions of them. STARS.

As a child, I imagined, that "some fairy of the stars" throw them in the sky every night.

I imagined her hair is shining like the stars, which she is scattering. This idea I had written down and sketched in my notepad over a year ago. So far I did not plan it for now. I was just in the middle of preparation for a flower fairy Flora costume and Stardust Princess was in plan for autumn of this year. In the meantime, I promised my good friend Jana, that I will take underwater picture for her 40 Birthday. She lives around 200 km apart from me, we've known each other for a long time, just we don't often see each other. When I was on the phone with her planning the photo shooting, she told me she is coming with the whole family, including her daughter Anna. In the moment I pictured in my head the image of the Stardust princess. The last time I saw Anna, she was 11 years old, now she is 16 and she has the longest blonde hair I've ever seen. Plus, I know that she is good in the water, due to the fact that the whole family scuba dive, including Anna.

In that moment it was clear to me that I have a maximum of 2 weeks to sew a dress and prepare the scene. I was looking for the fabric for the dress, I sewed, I sprayed stars with gold and silver color, produced a starry headband and necklace. Luckily, I found home a star from last Christmas, which I just sprayed in gold and I could use it as a magic star stick.

Sometimes it's good to be under time pressure, at least for me, so I was done in a relatively short period of time and I was ready to take pictures of the Stardust Princess.

Anna’s hair was even longer and more beautiful than I expected. The whole family got involved, 2 were holding the lights underwater and the rest of the family were throwing the stars in the pool, around Anna. Such a beautiful family event underwater.

Just collecting stars after the photo shoot was little bit tiny work :-)

PRINCEZNA HVĚZDNÉHO PRACHU

Každý večer je vidíme na obloze, jsou jich miliony. Hvězdy.

Jako dítě jsem si představovala, že je „nějaká hvězdná víla“ každý večer rozsévá po obloze. Představovala jsem si, že její vlasy budou zářící jako ty hvězdy, které rozhazuje.

Tuto představu jsem měla poznačenou a načrtnutou v deníku přes rok. Zatím jsem nepočítala, že by přišla na řadu. Měla jsem právě rozdělaný kostým na květinovou vílu Floru a Hvězdnou princeznu jsem plánovala někdy na podzim toho roku.

Mezitím jsem slíbila mé dobré kamarádce Janě, že jí vyfotím pod vodou k jejím čtyřicátinám. Bydlí 200 km ode mne, známe se dlouho, jen se tak často nevídáme. Když mi telefonovala, že s ní přijede celá rodina, včetně její dcery Aničky, okamžitě mi probleskla hlavou Hvězdná princezna. Naposled, když jsem viděla Aničku, měla 11 let, teď už jí je 16 a má ty nejdelší blonďaté vlasy, co jsem kdy viděla. Navíc jsem věděla, že je v pohodě ve vodě, vzhledem k tomu, že celá rodina potápí, včetně Aničky.

V ten moment mi bylo jasné, že mám maximálně 2 týdny na to ušít šaty a připravit scénu.

Sháněla jsem látku na šaty, šila, nastříkávala hvězdičky zlatou a stříbrnou barvou, vyráběla hvězdnou čelenku, náhrdelník. Naštěstí jsem měla doma z vánoc hvězdu na stromeček, kterou jsem jen nastříkala na zlato a mohla jsem z ní tak vyrobit hvězdné žezlo.

Někdy je fajn být pod časovým tlakem, aspoň teda u mě, takže jsem vše stihla v relativně krátké době a mohli jsme fotit Princeznu hvězdného prachu.

Aniččiny vlasy byly ještě delší a krásnější než jsem čekala. Do focení se zapojila celá rodina, 2 drželi světla a zbytek rodiny rozhazoval hvězdy po bazéně. Takže taková krásná rodinná akce pod vodou.

Jen to sbírání hvězdiček po focení byla mravenčí práce :-)
